Sonos One improves upon the entry-level Play:1 speaker by adding in support for Amazon’s Alexa, which means you can talk to Sonos One and have it play music for you, Engadget says.
With the ability to update Sonos One via the cloud, Sonos has already made several enhancements since the speaker’s October launch:
- Added Spotify voice control in November.
- Added support for Flash Briefings – a feature that Echo owners love.
- More accurate wake word responsiveness when it’s noisy, when talking quietly, or when Sonos One is further away.
- Improved the set-up process to reduce the number of steps to get started.
Sonos One will continue to receive software updates plus the previously announced addition of Google Assistant as well as AirPlay 2 to the Sonos platform in 2018.
