Privacy notice.
What austinmacworks.com collects, why, and what we do with it. It is short because we collect very little.

Scope
This website.
This notice covers austinmacworks.com. Information you share with us in one of our stores, by phone or by email is handled the same way as a message sent through the site.
Contact form
What you send us.
The contact form, on the Home and Contact pages, asks for your name, your email address, your phone number (optional), what we can help with, which store you prefer, and your message. When you send it, the site emails those details, through Cloudflare, to our contact inbox, along with the time it was sent and the page you sent it from. We use them only to reply to you, and for nothing else. We share your message with no one outside Austin MacWorks, except Cloudflare, which carries the message to our email, and our email provider, Google.
We keep messages for a reasonable time so we can answer them. When we delete a message from our email, it stays in the email trash until we empty it.
To stop floods of automated messages, the site uses your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time, and passes it to Cloudflare with the spam check described below. Your IP address is not included in the message we receive.
The form also contains a hidden field that people never see. Automated programs tend to fill it in; people do not. If it is filled in, the message is discarded and nothing is sent.
Spam protection
Cloudflare Turnstile.
On the Home and Contact pages, which carry the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a short check in your browser to tell people from automated programs, usually without any puzzle. To do this, Cloudflare processes signals such as your IP address and details of your browser and connection. Cloudflare uses them to protect our form and to improve its bot detection, and says they are not used to identify, profile or target you. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Analytics
Visit counts, without cookies.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to learn which pages are useful and how quickly they load. It does not use cookies or other storage in your browser and does not follow you across other websites. We see totals only, such as page views, referring sites, countries, browser and device types, and page load times. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Hosting
Where the site runs.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
What we do not do
No ads, no selling.
The site sets no cookies of its own. It has no advertising or marketing cookies, no tracking pixels and no social media plug-ins, and its fonts are served from our own site. We do not sell or share your information.
Sending the contact form does not add you to a mailing list. If we ever start one, it will be opt-in: you will only be on it if you sign up for it yourself.
Do Not Track. This site does not track you across other websites, and no one else collects information about you here to track you across websites. Because of that, we treat every visitor the same way, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Other sites
Links that leave our site.
The only links to other websites are directions to our stores on Apple Maps and Google Maps, our social media profiles, and, on this page, Cloudflare’s privacy information. These are plain links, not embedded content, so nothing loads from those sites until you choose to visit one. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Your choices
Ask, correct or delete.
To ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, send us a message through the contact form, which goes to our contact inbox, or call either store.
Changes
Updates to this notice.
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
