  • From a device you trust, change your Apple Account password, and the password for any account that uses the same one
  • Turn on two-factor authentication
  • Review the devices signed in to your account, and remove any you don’t recognize

Scams

Scam pop-ups and fake support calls.

A pop-up or a caller says your device is infected and asks you to pay, install something or give remote access. Don’t. Close the page or hang up. If you already gave access or paid, change your passwords from a trusted device, call your bank, and bring the device in.

Should I pay a support caller or a pop-up?

No. Don’t pay, don’t install anything they ask for, and don’t give them remote access. Hang up or close the page, then bring your device in.
